Connected Conversations: a place for deeper conversation and connection

Join us for Connected Conversations: an evening of deeper conversation about stuff that matters. Re-connect with what you care about and connect with others from heart to heart.

During the evening you will pair off for a number of one on one conversations and – guided by a conversation menu – discover the surprising power of deeper conversation to open the door to intimacy, even between strangers. Led by Charlie O’Malley.

The inspiration for Connected Conversations was Theodore Zeldin’s ‘Oxford Muse’ initiative, which ran events all over the country bringing people together for paired conversations over dinner, using a conversation menu. Thousands of people have participated in this process and Zeldin even wrote a book about it: “Conversation: How Talk Can Change Our Lives”.

Charlie O’Malley took up the idea and has adapted it to create Connected Conversations, which also uses a conversation menu and draws from practices from coaching and counselling to deepen the conversation and the insights that arise.

During the course of the evening, you will have the chance for a paired conversation with three other people in the group. You get to choose who you want to pair with. And you’ll also get to do some group work at the beginning and end of the evening.

You could find a soul mate, you might make a new friend for life, you could gain a new insight into an important question that’s on your mind. One thing is sure: you will have a provocative, stimulating and connecting evening.
